Ramblings beside the Coffee machine...…»

Given the Fenestration News is a vehicle for communicating the next big thing to an industry wide audience, you get a feel for trends, then instinctively pick out the winners and the losers. Locks and locking have gained a prominent position recently with the push by Gary Dutton and Brisant-Secure. Aluminium framing is moving back to be a rational choice thanks to Epwin Window Systems and their Stellar product, this sector I am sure will get a further up lift as Sheerline from Garnalex launches. Seeing good looking modern new build homes offered for sale with triple gazed aluminium windows and doors seems to confirm this. PVC has still some marketing left in its colour ranges and more logical flush framing. It’s an endless list of marketing opportunities for the whole industry.......more

Masterframe: “ The new specification Heritage Collection is the perfect option for them, as they deliver on style and performance as well as carrying the right accreditations and standard for the new-build market”. says Richard Howe, national sales manager

Aperture Group: “ We have set out our stall at Aperture to operate with customers at our heart and the Portium door is an excellent example of our commitment to this promise”. Robin Baker, MD of the core business

New Star Door Controls: “ I cannot believe that an organisation who should have the safety of their customers as their primary concern would think it is acceptable to fit such an ill thought out solution to the problem of injury or death caused by falling from windows”. Toby Staff, managing director

Profine: “ We’re delighted to formally announce the extension of our partnership for another five years and we’re actively looking to expand our production of KÖMMERLING”. explains CWG Choices, Chris Powell

Brisant Secure: “ We then provide really powerful tools for our customers to relay this message to their customers. There is homeowner demand for the best, and when they realise how little the cost difference is between normal and best, they buy it. ”. says CEO Nick Dutton.

Epwin Window Systems: “ Optima is a well-designed system that is easy to sell, easy to install and offers a high-end finish every time. We couldn’t ask for anything more. ”. Mitch Luckman, owner of County Windows

Carl F Groupco: A Progressive Path in Testing Times

Against a backdrop of challenging market conditions, Carl F Groupco reports high spec hardware sales growth for 2019. Despite the industry and country-wide uncertainty that has underpinned the year, the distributor has experienced expansion in the aluminium window and door sector, particularly with high specification doors, bi-folds and high rise windows resulting in strong demand for supporting hardware including tilt & turn and reversible gearing.

Aesthetic and style preferences for aluminium, along with the release of some major public sector contracts, are considered by Carl F Groupco to be key factors contributing to growing demand, and this is predicted as a trend set to continue in 2020....more
