When do things go wrong?

If you are at the front-end it is on a Friday just as you tidying up the latest masterpiece of installation work. The last IGU is set to go in and its corner gets a minor knock, leading to a cracked unit.

Most organisations have the safety of a local IGU supplier that doesn't pack-up Friday lunch time and head for the hills - so a speedy turnaround is still possible. Even then that can be a bit frustrating, as it interrupts the flow. What is needed is a product similar to the handy little gizmo from Bohle, the 'Bohle Blue Corner Protector', in a size to fit an IGU. If you have seen the Bohle demo video, while the glass doesn't go as far as bouncing when dropped, it does save a lot of woes in most circumstances.

On the project front Pilkington is ensuring a safer environment at a care home with Pilkington Pyrostop® fire resistant glass. FrameXpress have shown how to blend-in with the right colour options. Spectus, along with its approved contractor Jade Windows, stepped up to the plate at another care home to ensure a smooth installation of some 200 windows.
