Mercury Glazing is reporting that it has found its new flush sash from VEKA a big pull with high first week sales.
Modplan have enthusiastically arrived on the roofing scene with what could be described as a next-gen highly insulated solid roof. It goes without saying it will be met with instant success by the consumer. For the installer it offers more than they could have hoped for.

Moving to the next level
Moving forward as a business is not without its pitfalls, it's not difficult, just hard, really hard work. Once you get past the enthusiasm and passion needed for any enterprise, to keep momentum you need good people and the right people, around you. You also need information, the data if you like, at hand so the full picture can be seen in a snapshot to avoid falling into the trap of becoming a 'firefighting' operation.
In today's world of ever increasing acronyms, information technology and the internet, we get the notion of enterprise resource planning (ERP). You could get there with good old Lotus 123 (still working well) but that in itself takes effort, ability and the knowledge just to interpret its results. In our modern snapshot world we now get ERP software, an instant visual interpretation of efforts, keeping everyone on top and in control of growth. One of the hurdles for any operation established or emerging is to get the message out there. You can hang with the crowd and hope. Or you can blaze the trail and be beyond the reach of the followers. The effort, cost and inspiration needed are just about equal either way, however one is much more rewarding and assured.
Either way it then takes people, the right people. We are talking Sales people here. The team player, the development manager etc. these are just soft words for the unsure. These are also not account managers, they don’t fulfil the back office debt collection duties. To grow it's the so called hunter gathers that are the priority, the listeners, those that know who is doing what and then how to meet them.
In this instance most companies need help, in fact they should never stop looking, never stop making the new contact. Getting comfortable with the status quo is not what causes growth, people need to be moved, shuffled and evolved to release their potential - a growing company never has enough of the right people. The best salesman never becomes the best sales manager and vice versa they are not the same thing. It 's not just about being ' with it ' or 'on message ' when it is said a company becomes great because of its people - its common sense.

This industry talks a lot of tosh about competitiveness and the competitive edge. What people really mean is, it’s cheaper. But whatever competitive is, a lower price isn’t competitive. Discounting or everyday low pricing is what you do when your products can’t compete.
If your products don’t have a real difference, with good reasons to choose them, people won’t pay what you ask. If your service and support are the same, then you don’t have much to say. You have to compete with price.
